Practice bundle background

NRCS describes the FY2026 Farmer First Regenerative Pilot Program as a whole-farm conservation approach, not an isolated one-practice form.

The pilot requires at least one primary regenerative management practice by the end of the contract. Multiple primary practices can be selected when they fit the farm plan, and supporting NRCS practices can be added later when they help meet the plan objectives.

Example: a farm may combine Conservation Crop Rotation, Cover Crop, and Nutrient Management, then add supporting practices such as soil amendments if the conservation plan calls for them.

We capture this as an intake signal only. NRCS eligibility, ranking, funding, contract terms, and technical determinations remain with USDA/NRCS.

Do not enter a Social Security or tax ID number. We never need them. Those go only on USDA forms, to USDA.
